The business started on September 15th, 1995 in a rented building. The founder is Mr. Geoffrey Kinoti Kathurima, deriving company name Kinoti GK Hardware.
In that time there were only few products on sale like plywoods, iron sheets, hardboards.
In the year 2000 it was converted into a limited private company with Mrs. Jane Kinoti-wife of Mr. Geoffrey as a co-director.
The company acquired the market acceptance and grew rapidly to relocate into own premises and round up employees up to 30 staff.
Kinoti G.K. Hardware Ltd. is selling all building materials from foundation to roofing and as well as part of interior finishing for example tiles, plumber items, doors, plastic sealings.
The customers catchment area is in Nkubu, Meru, Kithoka, Kibiricha, Maua, Mutuati, Murera, Tharaka Nithi. Mostly the company supplies schools and churches.
The company is also dealing with clients who are away abroad or other places in Kenya. In this case deposit of some funds is required and designated person who would sign delivery note. Goods are delivered to the place of designation. This mode of buying is becoming popular especially for very busy and distant clients.
